Newcomer Liaison, Miriam Quintana, at Coronado Hills Elementary had a special story to share during one of the school's professional learnings. This was no ordinary story, but one written and illustrated by Miriam herself. Miriam spoke of the resiliency of children moving to a new country, and the importance of supporting newcomer students with social emotional and academic skills through love and support of the community. Coronado Hills and Adams 12 Five Star Schools is so proud of Miriam for her creativity and all that she does everyday for our students.
