NHS students present PBL solutions to city council

Congratulations to Northglenn High School students who presented their Problem-Based Learning presentations at a Broomfield City Council Meeting on Tuesday, November 19. There were 4 winning teams selected by the panelists on Thursday Nov 14th. The Mayor personally asked the winning teams to present their solutions to the City Council.
Students from Kent Hups' class presented their solutions to the problem of how “To educate people using the Broomfield trail system about the geological science, Paleontological history and the use and protection of the resources of the area”. The students based their solutions on the identification of fossils collected in the Broomfield open space at the end of the 2023 school year. The groups did an outstanding job and some of the solutions are being considered for possible use along the trail.
Special thanks to the Northglenn High School community for submitting this Five Star Story.
