Northglenn Middle holds first-ever honor roll knighting

Northglenn Middle School had its first-ever Knighting Ceremony to honor students who made the Quarter 1 Honor Roll, and it was truly a day to remember!

The celebration recognized sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students for their academic achievement, but this was no ordinary assembly. Because Northglenn’s mascot is the Knight, Principal Sarah Stone envisioned a special and memorable way to connect that identity to student success by actually knighting each honor roll student. To make her vision come to life, Assistant Principal Benito Espinoza partnered with Left Hand Ranch Equine to bring in a real horse for the event.

That horse, named Fuzz, quickly became the star of the day as students and families gathered to watch their classmates be officially “knighted” for their hard work and dedication.

The image shows a group of people in a school or community setting, with some individuals engaged in conversation or activities while others are seated or standing around.

Teacher Andrew Jeagle suited up in full knight’s armor to perform the ceremony, knighting each student individually as their peers, teachers and families cheered them on. It was a true community event, staff members from across the school helped plan, decorate and support the ceremony, ensuring every student felt celebrated and proud of their accomplishments. Students left the ceremony beaming and taking photos with Fuzz, the Knight, and their families to commemorate this unique milestone.

At Northglenn Middle School, we take pride in celebrating student success, building school spirit, and reminding every student that their achievements deserve to be recognized in a big way.
