Prairie Hills kicks-off Home Reading Program with guest

As a kick-off to the Prairie Hills Elementary 4 week Home Reading Program, Idita-READ, guest speaker Karen Land spoke to students about reading, being a non-fiction magazine article writer, and being a musher in the 1,000 mile Alaskan Iditarod race, She brought along her Alaskan husky racedog named Noggin, and her corgi named Chloe, who is too short to race. Mr. Pip modeled the many layers of bulky gear used by mushers in the race

Students, don't forget to help your grade level dog race through the miles by hitting your target number of home reading minutes each week. Mush on!
