Staff wins award for Family and Consumer Sciences

Kristi Weaver, Career & Technical Education Director, was recognized as the 2023-2024 Administrator of the Year for the Colorado Association Teachers of Family & Consumer Sciences (CATFACS) Organization. Through her leadership efforts, our Career and Technical Education programming has grown exponentially. Students are graduating from our district ready to enter the workforce or continue their education. Under Kristi’s leadership, we have observed tangible outcomes within our CTE community. Student enrollment in CTE programs has increased significantly, graduation rates have improved, and post-graduation employment numbers have soared. Our graduates regularly receive recognition from employers for their proficiency and readiness to contribute to the workforce, reflecting the success of our initiatives. Under Kristi’s leadership, she is always working to improve student opportunities within Career and Technical Education in Adams 12 Five Star Schools. The Family and Consumer Sciences Department at Northglenn High School would like to congratulate Kristi on this achievement and wish her luck as she moves on to the state level at the CACTE Summit in July.

Special thanks to the Northglenn High School community for submitting this Five Star Story.
