STEM Lab students learned about civic engagement
In our ongoing Problem-Based Learning (PBL) unit, Beyond the Ballot, 5th graders have been exploring civic engagement with insights from the Colorado Secretary of State’s Election Division! Our guest speaker, Christi Coburn, helped our students dive deeper into the role of accurate information and the impact of misinformation in today’s world.
With research showing a decline in voter participation among 18-24 year-olds, our young learners are now developing creative solutions to boost civic engagement in this critical age group.
