STEM Launch students present at BeaverCon

Our 8th grade STEM Ambassadors presented at #BeaverCon at the University of Colorado Boulder to share our school and district efforts to coexist with the beavers in the Niver Creek behind our school. One of our eighth grade ambassadors said, "Even in a room full of beaver experts, I felt like we had a lot to contribute to the areas of beaver habitat conservation and co-existence." (Erick Garcia Moncada) "Presenting at BeaverCon was empowering," said Alexandra Acosta, 8th grade STEM Launch student ambassador. "I felt like our efforts could create motivation for change for other students who want to make a difference in their communities." Today the students saw the beavers swimming in the creek behind the school for the first time in months! 🦫
