Thornton Middle takes a trip for a Music Festival
- Care
- Focus on Students
On May 22nd, the Thornton Middle School Music Department, in collaboration with the Office of Student Engagement, took 132 Band, Choir, and Orchestra students on a trip to perform at the Elitch Gardens’ Music Festival in the historic Trocadero Theater. The Choir and Orchestra earned silver medals while the Band took home a gold. These awards recognize the students’ exceptional musicianship and attention to detail while embodying the TMS motto: “All in, All the time”. After performing, students celebrated a year of hard work by enjoying the park with friends, teachers, parents, and TMS principal Martin McCarthy. This field trip helped strengthen the community, culture, and support systems at Thornton Middle School. Thank you to Lisle Reed and the Office of Student Engagement for making this valuable experience possible for our students!
