Woodglen welcomes social-emotional dog to help students

Woodglen would like to introduce you to Jojo. Jojo is our dedicated social-emotional support dog. She plays a crucial role in helping students regulate their emotions and navigate challenging moments. With her calming presence, Jojo provides a comforting source of support during stressful or overwhelming times, offering students a sense of security and stability. Whether it’s through her gentle companionship, allowing students to pet her, or simply sitting quietly by their side, Jojo helps foster emotional resilience and mindfulness, encouraging students to pause, breathe, and refocus. Her unconditional love and non-judgmental nature create an environment where students feel safe to express their emotions, ultimately promoting a sense of calm and emotional balance. Additionally, students have the opportunity to visit Jojo as a reward for demonstrating good behavior, which reinforces positive actions and offers an extra incentive to make good choices.
