College and Career Readiness Demonstrations approved by the State
After extensive research, collaboration and community engagement, the Graduation Guidelines Committee presented three graduation requirement options to the Adams 12 Five Star Schools Board of Education (BOE) on May 3, 2017. Each of the options consisted of 23 required course credits as well as the added college and career readiness demonstrations which are new for the graduating class of 2021 and beyond. Feedback from parents, students and staff collected over the course of 15 engagement sessions was also presented to the BOE for their consideration.
The BOE approved the following graduation requirements for the class of 2021 and beyond, including the credits and coursework recommended by the committee, and all of the college and career readiness demonstrations approved by the State Board of Education.
The College and Career Readiness Demonstrations were approved by the State Board of Education on Oct. 12, 2017.
