Our newest magnet school is designed to bring together strong academics and the arts in a welcoming K-8 community. Students will learn the district’s core curriculum, with the arts woven into how they explore ideas, make connections across subjects and demonstrate their understanding. Through visual arts, music, theater, dance, design and technology in the arts, students will have opportunities to discover their interests and develop their talents as they move from elementary through middle school.

Alongside dedicated arts instruction, students will bring their learning to life through projects that connect creative expression with the district’s core curriculum in subjects such as reading, math, science and social studies. High expectations will go hand in hand with the relationships that help students build confidence.

The K-8 model gives students the opportunity to build lasting relationships with classmates and staff through their elementary and middle school years. A welcoming, inclusive environment will help students feel known, supported and challenged.
Room to discover interests and develop talents
Students will explore a range of both digital and traditional arts in the early grades, building foundational skills and discovering what interests them. As they move into middle school, they will have opportunities to select a more focused pathway while continuing to explore different interests in the arts and beyond.
Opening of the new K-8 for the 2027-2028 school year is contingent on reaching a minimum enrollment of 420 students by Dec. 15.
