On October 7, 2026, the Board of Education voted to approve the district’s closure and consolidation recommendation.

North Mor was included in the recommendation and will close at the end of this school year.

Based on your home address, students will move to Hillcrest or Westview elementary. Enter your home address into the School Finder to see which school if your new boundary school for the 2027-2028 school year. If you live out of North Mor's current boundary, you can choose which of the two schools you'd like to attend.

Considerations

Elementary school K-5 enrollment of less than 300.
Two-round elementary school (two classes per grade level).
Unable to offer all specials classes (art, music, P.E., and IDEAS Lab) every day.
Currently has a split boundary that divides up neighborhoods and sends students past closer schools.

Enrollment

Automatic Enrollment

All students will have a place at their new neighborhood school - Hillcrest or Westview - for the 2027-2028 school year, based on where they live within our current attendance area.

Prioritized School Choice

Families may also apply to another district school that is open to Choice and will be prioritized within the District’s lottery process.

Choice applications from students impacted by school closures will be prioritized AFTER applications for children of district staff members and for siblings to attend the same school and BEFORE all other applications.

We will have a dedicated student enrollment team that will contact each family to talk about their options and make sure they are set up for the 2027-2028 school year, if the board adopts the closure recommendation.
