5230: Age Requirement: Kindergarten

AGE REQUIREMENT: KINDERGARTEN

1.0       Children will be eligible for admission to kindergarten at the beginning of the school year provided that they reach their fifth birthday on or before October 1st of that year.  The parent or guardian must provide proof of the child's age.  Children who do not meet this age requirement will not be permitted to enroll in kindergarten later in the school year even if they have partially completed a kindergarten program in a private school or in another school district.
