The Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) provides family and community involvement and support within the Adams 12 Five Star Schools. We are a project specific committee with the desire to be a valuable resource for both families and educators within our district.
Why the Group Exists
By partnering with other resources in our community and our schools, we offer assistance and support to families of children and youth with special education needs, disabilities and learning differences. As an advisory committee, we do not make policy but, we give our input to and collaborate with Student Support Services.

When it Meets
SEAC welcomes all parents, educators and community resources to attend our meetings and events. The committee holds monthly meetings and tries to tie a topic to each meeting. Most meetings have presentations and/or speakers related to Special Education topics. Free daycare is provided at all meetings as well as interpreters for those in need of Spanish translation.
How to Get Involved
Flyers advertising SEAC are posted at all school locations and emails are sent out to households advertising the time, date and topic for each meeting. SEAC also partners with Student Support Services and community organizations to host resource and transition fairs.
