The Board of Education approved a recommended learning model for the remainder of the fall semester on Sept. 10 that features a combination of full-time in-person learning (elementary) and a hybrid model (middle and high school). The recommended plan indicated preschool would move forward with its current hybrid model. However, since this model was approved, we have been in discussions with district preschool staff as well as district leadership about the best way for district preschool to move forward. The district Early Childhood Education program will return to our traditional four days a week, in-person model beginning Monday, Oct. 5.
Our current hybrid model will continue through Oct. 2, with exception of Thursday, Sept. 24 and Friday Sept. 25. In-person learning on these days will not meet, as teachers will repurpose this time for planning days.
Important things to know:
If you pay tuition for your child to attend district preschool, the regular monthly rate of $365 will begin in October
If students have a district-loaned Chromebook, they are encouraged to keep it for use at home and so it’s available in the event that we need to shift to remote learning.
