  • Due to limited space and the amount of staff available, please plan to only bring the student who will be enrolling into preschool.
  • Bring activities, snacks, etc. for your preschooler.
  • Screenings will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. You will move through different paperwork, interview and screening stations throughout the process.
  • Eligibility will be determined at the time of the screening, however, location placement decisions will not be made until a later date. Families will be informed of placement decisions by July 15, 2020
  • Families will be able to request locations on the day of the screening, but several factors influence placement decisions and we are unable to guarantee your location request will be approved.

CPP (Colorado Preschool Program) Enrollment will only be done through the Early Childhood Office, not at the individual school location. For a list of Preschool Locations click here: www.adams12.org/preschool/preschool-locations

Child Find

At Adams 12 Child Find, we make sure that children demonstrating they may have difficulty in learning or possible delays, can get the help they need to be successful.  Below is a list of developmental areas that we may evaluate:

  • academic (early learning/concepts, thinking, problem solving, preschool access skills)
  • communication (articulation, language, fluency and voice)
  • motor (fine and gross motor)
  • social/emotional

Children can be referred to Child Find by a parent, doctor or community agency.  The process for children age 3-5 will begin with a developmental screening and when appropriate, a multi-disciplinary, play-based, evaluation.   The team, including parents, will then make some decisions about next steps, which include eligibility for special education services.
