Arapahoe House serves adults and adolescents (age 12‐18) with a substance abuse problem.  

Services are offered for deaf and hard of hearing as well as Spanish speakers.  Citizenship is not necessary.

Arapahoe House offers the following outpatient services: 

Inpatient Services:

Arapahoe Houseʼs StepWise service is for teens with serious behavioral, social, or educational problems caused by substance use and/or mental health disorders. This 24-hour care service provides a sheltered and structured treatment environment for adolescents ages 12 – 18. This program is designed for individuals who would benefit from an inpatient environment. Intensive individual, group and family therapy are provided.

Arapahoe House (Thornton) also provides inpatient residential care to adults (Healing First Program).  

  • Level I and Level II DUI classes as well as Level III DUI Therapy classes

 Case Management Services:  Case managers coordinate services for clients in areas such as: basic needs, housing, transportation, child care, health care, mental health care, education, and employment. Case managers also advocate for individuals in systems such as child welfare or the judicial system.

Arapahoe House takes most private health Insurances as well as Medicaid and CHP+.  They also have financial assistance and payment plans available.

No referral necessary but it is recommended to call first in order to speak with someone about treatment options.
