The Juvenile Firesetting (JFS) Evaluation and Treatment Program

The Juvenile Firesetting (JFS) Evaluation and Treatment Program was designed in response to the increasing need for specialized community services addressing juvenile fire setting behaviors. Though this program does not require the youth to currently be in treatment, it has been specifically designed to augment existing services and work in a multi-disciplinary approach to reduce recidivism for future fire setting behaviors. These collaborative efforts with individuals such as school counselors, probation/diversion officers, fire safety specialists, therapists, and/or psychiatrists are encouraged and are an asset of the program.
