Veteran's Memorial Aquatic Center
The Adams 12 Five Star Schools Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center (VMAC) is a 765,000-gallon 50-meter Olympic-sized pool with one 3-meter and three 1-meter spring boards. The VMAC is home to the Five Star District’s boys and girls swimming and diving teams. Groundbreaking on the $19.5 million facility occurred on June 9th, 2009 and it was substantially complete on August 6th, 2010.
This 43,574 square foot facility features a 22,481 square foot natatorium which can house 800 athletes, coaches and meet personnel between the pool and deck area. Spectator seating is located above the natatorium and offers the ideal view for each of the 10 competitive lanes or all 21 practice lanes and diving boards. The VMAC bleacher area boasts seating for approximately 842 spectators which makes this an ideal location for hosting the State Swimming and Diving meet as well as other major competitions.
