Scott McGinn, LAT, ATC
Head Athletic Trainer, Mountain Range High School
Scott was born in Colorado and graduated from Westminster High School in 1990. He has been practicing as a Certified Athletic Trainer for 14 years. Scott Recently moved back to Colorado from Kansas City Missouri where he worked at the University of Missouri - Kansas City primarily with women's soccer & women's basketball. Prior to UMKC he worked at Wingate University in North Carolina with women's soccer & baseball and prior to that Scott was an Intern Athletic Trainer with the Seattle Sounders FC for the 2010 MLS season.
Graduated from Fort Lewis College with a B.A. in Exercise Science/ Athletic Training in 2006
Attended Graduate School at Arkansas State University from 2008-2010
Robert Lopez, MAT, LAT, ATC
Head Athletic Trainer, Northglenn High School
Robert Lopez is an El Paso native who moved to Lubbock, Texas to further his education at Texas Tech University in 2008. He was a student Athletic Trainer for TTU while obtaining his Bachelors of Science in Exercise and Sport Sciences and worked with the football, volleyball, soccer, softball, and track and field teams. After Robert completed his bachelors, he attended Texas Tech University- Health Sciences Center and obtained his Masters of Athletic Training in May of 2015. While in the graduate program, he worked with local high schools, rehabilitation clinics, and at Lubbock Christian University as a Masters of Athletic Training Student. After his master’s, he moved to Houston, Texas to work as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Rice University for 2 years. There he worked with the football team in the fall and volleyball team in the spring. Robert recently moved to Denver this past February and worked as the Head Athletic Trainer for Denver South High School before joining the Children’s Hospital Sports Medicine Team. He is currently the Head Athletic Trainer at Northglenn High School. He spends most of his free time with his dogs: Tucker, Everette and Kain; site seeing; camping/ hiking; and playing volleyball. Robert is certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification, registered through CO DORA, and licensed by the state of Texas. He is also a member of NATA, SWATA, and RMATA.
Lemar Hicks, LAT, ATC
Head Athletic Trainer, Thornton High School
Prior to working for Children’s Hospital, Lemar worked as an Athletic Trainer for Colorado Springs School District 11 where he aided all the schools in the district with sports coverage and athletic training room fill-in in the absence of their full-time Athletic Trainer. Originally from Ft. Wayne, IN, Lemar gained his Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Colorado State University-Pueblo.Paul deQuillfeldt, LAT, ATC

Paul is originally from New York, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Stony Brook University. While attending college he participated on Stony Brook’s Men’s Track and Field team and met his wife, Natalie. After working as a high school athletic trainer for a year in New York, Paul and his wife moved to Tucson where she completed medical school. Paul continued to work as a high school athletic trainer for the four years they were in Tucson. Paul moved to Denver for his wife to complete her residency in Internal Medicine and is thrilled to continue working as a high school athletic trainer for Children’s Hospital Colorado. In his free time Paul enjoys hiking with his wife and dog, Wiley. He also likes to cook and continues to enjoy running and training.Jenny Van Meter, LAT, ATC

Jenny graduated from North Dakota State University, in Fargo, ND, with a B.S. degree in Athletic Training, a B.S. degree in Exercise Physiology and minors in health education and nutrition. She has worked in a variety of different healthcare settings and has found that her passion is working with high school athletes. Jenny believes that the partnership between Children’s Hospital Colorado and Adams 12 Five Star Schools has thoroughly enhanced sports medicine for our student-athletes! Jenny and her husband, Doug, are the proud parents of their two sons, Caleb and Colton.
