City and County of Broomfield COVID-19 Response & Recovery Resources
Outside of Adams/Broomfield Counties
- Families residing outside of Adams/Broomfield Counties can apply for public benefits online at Colorado PEAK. These applications are automatically submitted to the appropriate county office.
- 211-Note: Families who live in Thornton should first try the Thornton Community Connections page. Families who live in another Adams County municipality should first try the Adams County Response and Recovery page. 211 should be reserved for families who live outside of Adams County.
- Coloradans can reach the hotline by calling 211, going to 211Colorado.org or by texting their zip code to 898-211. Resource navigators on the 211 line are available by phone Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. They have access to language translation services that can accommodate more than 170 languages and can provide information about:
- Housing, including shelters and transitional services
- Rent and utility assistance
- Applying for SNAP (food) and other public benefits by phone.
- Childcare
- Food/meals
- Transportation
- Clothing/personal/household needs
- Mental health and substance use disorders
- Employment
- Medical and dental clinics
Food Assistance
- Call 2-1-1 to find the nearest distribution site or the Food Resource Hotline at 855-855-4626
- Search for a food pantry at by entering a city or zip code. Pantries are still open to the public but have shifted to pre-packed food boxes for drive-through or pick-up outside the building. Many pantries are also allowing folks to come on behalf of those without means of transportation– just make sure to have the client’s name and birthday to receive their benefits for them. It is highly recommended calling pantries before visiting to ensure that the service is available.

- School Meals - the Colorado Department of Education has a comprehensive list of school meal sites that are currently available across the state.
