Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that cause respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough and shortness of breath. Similar to the flu, these viruses spread through coughing or sneezing.

The district follows all updated health guidance from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). If you test positive for COVID-19, please see their latest guidance on what to do.

When is too sick for school? When is too sick for school? (Spanish)

In addition, you can take everyday preventive steps like staying away from sick people and washing your hands to reduce the spread of germs. If you are sick with coronavirus, stay home from work or school to prevent spreading illness to others.

District Response

Adams 12 Five Star Schools works closely with state and local health partners to monitor Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Our local and state health partners, include the Tri-County Health Department, Broomfield Public Health and Environment and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). The school district has a Pandemic Incident Response Plan to support the health and safety of our students, staff and community, and to minimize any impact to learning in our schools.
