Meal Payments
Families are encouraged to visit payforit.net to pre-pay for school meals. Payforit.net makes paying for school meals easy.
Here's how:
- Your child will not have to carry cash or checks to school.
- Students may experience shorter wait times in line.
- Families can monitor and discuss purchases with their children.
- Families can set up low balance alerts.
- Families can set up an auto-replenishment option.
Cash and checks are also accepted in the cafeteria during normal business hours.
Meal Charge Standard Practice
United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) has determined children and their families must be informed about how children who pay full-price (paid rate) or reduced-price for a reimbursable meal are impacted by having insufficient funds on hand or in their account to purchase a meal. A La Carte Program
Adams 12 Nutrition Services believes in the “All Foods Fit” philosophy and that all foods can fit into an overall healthy diet. In order to meet the many food philosophies of a diverse district population, we provide an a la carte program K-12. A la carte includes various snacks and beverages that meet Federal Smart Snacks in Schools Guidelines and a comprehensive list of these items can be found here (Disclaimer: Program sites only contain a limited variety of the comprehensive list and this selection varies by site). Additionally, extra servings of our healthy entrée and side items are available for purchase a la carte.
We also understand that every family that we serve has different needs, so we want to ensure that we put the power of choice in our parents’ hands. Parents have the ability to limit a la carte purchases by reaching out to their school kitchen and putting in a request.
